Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is with great pleasure that I take this opportunity to welcome you all to the Israel Association of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (IAACI) 2008 annual scientific meeting to be held this year in collaboration with the American College of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology.
This year’s meeting is very special, both for it’s venue in the most amazing city in the world, Jerusalem, spiritual cradle of the three monotheistic religions but also for the amazing richness and diversity of the scientific program.
With renowned world experts, arriving from Israel, Europe, the United States and Singapore, covering topics from basic immunology to transitional research, to hot topics in clinical allergy, we have attempted to offer a relevant, stimulating, state of the art program, guarranteed to educate, intrigue and satisfy all physicians with an abiding interest in the fields of asthma, allergy and immunology.
Starting on Wendesday the 3rd of December and continuing through Saturday the 6th 2008, our feature full program will include breakfast seminars on diverse topics, where participant are invited to bring their relevant clinical or research experience for discussion with two of the leading experts in the field, plennary sessions covering, pediatric allergy, asthma, urticaria and autoimmunity, drug and food hypersensitivity and environmental allergy among many others. Thematic oral abstract sessions where participants can present original data and discuss their findings and future research with the pannel, as well as an extensive social program and tours designed to give you a new perspective on history, religion and human diversity are only a few of the very good reasons you will enjoy this meeting.
We are confident that this meeting will be a perfect combination of rigorous scientific program and a relaxed, “shirt off” mediterranean atmosphere.

Dear Meeting Attendees,
It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the first joint meeting between the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the Israeli Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology organizations. This meeting would not be possible without the support by the ACAAI and pharmaceutical educational grants; for this we are very thankful. We sincerely believe that attending this meeting will result in memories that you will cherish for the rest of your life. Not only will you be in one of the most historic cities in the world, the state of the art scientific curriculum composed for this meeting features many of the world experts in Allergy, Asthma and Immunologic disorders. As important, the camaraderie that is generated by attending meetings of this type is incredible. We are excited about having Allergists from the United States, Canada, South America and Europe attending this meeting. We are confident, each and everyone of you will either develop new friendships or reestablish existing ones with colleagues from Israel and other parts of the world during the meeting. Allergists for Israel, is proud to be the link in helping to bring the ACAAI and IAACI together for this venue. Our mission has been to foster education, research and other academic pursuits between Israel and the rest of the world. This meeting is a testimony to the foresight by the AFI founder, William Silver, AFI’s subsequent leaders and membership. We look forward to seeing you all in Jerusalem.
